I know 'where' I need to go to set margins in MS Word, however I am not sure what "numbers" to use.
I am supposed to set a one and three-quarters-inch (1-3/4) inch margin on the left and right.
would this translate to 1.3" ??

3/4 = .75, so you need 1.75". Even though the normal margin setting does not allow you to arrow up to 1.75", if you highlight the 1.25, you can type in the 1.75 to get the 1 3/4" required.

To find the location in Word to actually set the margins, go to File>Page Setup. The window that comes up has the margins at the top. That is where you enter 1.75 for the left and right margins.

No. 3/4 is 0.75, so type in "1.75" for the L and R margins.

No. If the margins are using inch units, the 1 3/4" would be 1.75 inches.
