Trust me, right now I am freaking out about it. Not my own death, but the upcoming deaths of both of my elderly parents. I have two half siblings from my mother's first marriage at 18, and they hate me because my grandmother basically raised them, and not our mother. She remarried and had me at 38. Both parents are now in their mid 80's and both are going through signs of definite demetia. I know that death is a part of life, but I've been so stressed out about this, especially losing my father, that I'm actually not sleeping and I'm not eating. Death is a really big thing for me to come to grips now regarding my parents. My best friend died of cancer in 1994 when she was only 31. Another friend of mine committed suicide at 26. I'm a Christian, and hope there is a Heaven, but once you're dead, you're dead. I guess people aren't freaking out much about death because they 1. Don't want to think about it. 2.Are scared of it. 3.Losing the ones they love.

I'm sorry I disagree with you, once you're dead it's not over. Your soul aka life 's energy goes elsewhere. The people who freak over dying are the ones who don't believe in anything bigger than themselves and that they'll only become bones and nothing else.
Otherwise most people find death, unless they're hooked up to tubes and life support a very peaceful and quiet thing.

We shouldn't dwell too much on death to the exclusion of living life. It is not the biggest thing that can happen to us after birth. Actually, it is the last thing that happens to us! The biggest thing that happens to us after birth is LIFE. Live it, don't waste it!!!

I'm not worried about death because as far as I can tell I won't suffer after it. It's a big thing to my life, but once im dead my whole life won't matter to me, so it's really the biggest act of an inconsequential drama.
