If so, why is this? Is it because of gay culture's emphasis on sex?

And this is a serious question, so please only serious answers.

Well maybe. Straight men have women to prevent them from letting sex become a habit :p

No, there is not a a psycho-medical difference between gay guys and their straight counterparts. So they are not more 'prone' to sexual addiction. But remember this is an all-male culture, and men are very different from women in how they react sexually. ...so there are trappings that come with that environment that make it much easier to indulge sexual compulsion. It's very easy to get laid, and sex is viewed much more recreationally. So there are far less boundries than in the typical american straight world. Men who may be mildly sexually compulsive can easily become much more so. Men who are not at all, can 'try it out' and of course, someone who is actually 'prone' to it will be able to get all they could ever handle.

I'd assume so, because most of the time it is the feminine gay men that are harassed and if a man acts "gay" whether he's straight or not, he is more prone to being harassed. For some reason people seem to feel as long as you "act like a guy" it's ok to be gay...totally wrong, it doesn't matter.

Absolutely. For one, gays committ 33% of the sexual child abuse cases, when they only make up 2.5% of the population. Secondly, in the Netherlands, gays who are married AVERAGE 8 sexual partners a year. Gays in general average far, far more sexual partners than do heteros, thus the high rate of STD's.

men think about sex like 90% of the time. the only reason straight couples dont have sex all day long is because women dont want to. so...if you put two sex machines together, theyll go to town. i dont think i would call it addiction unless there are multiple partners and it interferes with regular life obligations.
