i havent been on the pill that long, probably about two months and i had sex about a week ago...i didnt take my pill that day or the night before but we used protection....ive been bleeding though reddish brown for about a week now and its getting annoying....im kinda worried...does this happen to people when they first start the pill? i take them daily but im not too consistant with the times....could that affect it? any idea what this could be?

When you first start the pill you can bleed or spot for the entire first 3 months. Try to make a ritual out of taking your pill, irregularity of when you take it won't help you. If it continues over the next few months ask your doctor to switch you to a different brand or form of birth control, like the patch or shot.

I am having the same problem. I have been on the pill for 17 days now and have been bleeding reddish brown ever since I started the pill. I am glad to know that I am not the only one that has had this problem. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is this normal?
