I would liek to easily prepare creiteria for searching specific web pages and gathering data into an excel spread sheet .
example : collect prices of auctions that end at specific times and put them on a Spread sheet , extract stock value at specific times , automaticaly sort my helth test results in a spread sheet .. etc etc etc .. please help (can this be doen via VS in ecxel ? can VB script in excel get web pages and parser them ?)

I don't know that this completely answers your question, but if you can get the data in a form that looks like a table, you should be able4 to cut-and-paste directly into Excel.

However, if you are looking to add new data to a spreadsheet over time (like the Stock Market example), then you will need a mechanism to collect the data and feed it into a file somewhere.

I wonder if Yahoo's new Pipes service (http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/) could help? The limitation is that the source data would need to be some kind of data feed, rather than a web page.

You will need a macro to do it.
Excel can read ASCII text files (Which is the same type of webpages) as HTML files, and get the values you want

MMMMM, you should have some knowledge in Excel / VBA / and HTML to do this
