The Daily Mail is basically a Conservative paper.
It only has one purpose and that is to espouse the views and dogma of David Cameron and his cronies.
Personally, I read the Independent because that is what it is!!

The owner of the Mail, Lord Rothermere wrote "Hail to the Blackshirts" specifically in support of Oswald Mosley in early 1934. That support was withdrawn following the violence that accompanied the Olympia rally and Mosley's growing anti-semitism.
Rothermere saw right-wing dictators like Mussolini and Hitler as bastions against the worldwide threat of Communism. By 1939 however the Mail was calling for Britain to re-arm following the Nazi occupation of Prague. A reminder that this was a different age is that much of the Left supported the "Disarmament Movement" which would have left Britain at Hitlers mercy in 1940 had it been fully heeded.
I see from the tone of your question that you have swallowed the line that the Daily Mail is an extremist paper pushing a right -wing agenda. In fact it is a paper of the centre-right that normally fully supports the Conservative Party. It has a massive circulation in the region of 2,340,255 papers per week and covers issues that the majority of the population see as important such as: waste in the NHS; Prison Overcrowding; the growth in gun crime; stealth taxes; lack of control over immigration; the cash for peerages issue.
The fact that these are the sort of issues the left-wing, secular, liberal, elite don't want discussed and try their politically correct best to suppress means the the Mail is their particular bete noir.
Personally I have never read an edition of the Daily Mail that doesn't have at least one article or news item that fully addresses the real problems of Britain. But you don't have to take my word for it, read the paper yourself and make your own decision. Below are two links the Mail as it really is, and how its enemies would wish to portray it.

To 'padgreen19'. The 'Independant newspaper' most certainly is not independant, it is definitely left of centre, as is the 'Guardian' and the 'observer'. Along with the 'Telegraph' the 'Daily Mail' is one of the few newspapers that tries to counter the nonstop left wing messages coming out of the TV media and the newspapers I have mentioned above. 'Mojo' constantly spews out lefty views.
In the early thirties, no one new what Hitler was up to, including our own Government. They even trusted him in 1939, just before the outbreak of war. The commies were lefties, were they any better?

I think to be fair to the Daily Mail it only supported Hitler at a time when Hitler appeared to be a good thing for Germany reducing unemployment and building the autobahns etc.
When he showed signs of megalomania Lord Rothrmere dropped his support for him. And probably felt a little foolish...

i think only fools believe everything they read in newspapers. Some people just scan the headlines and negate to think about things from a factual point of view even after reading the article.
I like to thing of myself as neither left or right as i often agree and disagree with both.
In answer to your question, unless the DM has valid statistics to back up it's argument it is the foolish reader that believes it that is rightwing.

it's slightly right of centre but you need to read the whole story of the alleged support, because that's not strictly true. Read the link:

Yes it starts off with WW1 but goes on to mention Hitler
