My three favorite cities in North America are Vancouver, B.C. Canada; Boston, MA and San Francisco, CA. I like NYC, too (it's my daughters favorite!), but it's about #7 in my top ten.
Cities that are in my bottom ten? Pittsburg (though I understand it has changed a lot since I was last there); Los Angeles, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Phoenix (I love the area though).

I love NYC. The city is so diverse, you can find anything anytime anywhere. Restaurants, clubs, museums, opera houses, art galleries - they are all a short cab ride away. At the same time, it is a global financial center and plays host to two of the country's best universities (Columbia U and NYU).
I heart NYC!! :D
