You can't. The system automatically gives 10 points for the best answer. You can rate their answer from 1-5, but that's it. You get 3 points for giving someone else the 10, but you don't lose the 10, the system gives it to them.

You ask a question, pick up a best answer from the whole answers you got and then there comes the points automatically , a perfect 10, for the perfect one from yahoo, and you get 3 points for picking up me..... as the best answer now.... sorry, you can't change points.

Again like everybody else said, you can't choose how many points you give unfortunately. :( It's just 10 points for a best answer and 2 for just giving an answer at all like I am right now! ;-)

You can't do that sorry onces you click best answer for that person they get 10 points and you get 3 points that is how the system works!

U can't change it. A person can get more points if they have some points from the thumbs up. That's it.
