It depends how old you are, what you're into...

I love Captain Corelli's Mandolin - takes an age to get into it but once you've got through the first quarter you'l be hooked. Also The Summer Fletcher Greel Loved Me by Suzanne Kingsbury - made me cry real tears. And is much easier to read.

I know of a lot of great authors for you to check out, but I don't know what you like to read. I've been reading books by a British author called David Mitchell, "Ghostwritten" and "Black Swan Green" both are excellent! Another good one is "The Outlaw Bible Of American Poetry". I know of lots more, so ask away if you have any questions. I run a bookstore. Good luck!

"100 Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It will be difficult to get at first, but once you get through the first pages, this book will truly amaze you.
