Depends on what im masticating. Sometimes I take my time, maybe 2+ minutes. Other times I'm in and out in under 20 seconds. I suppose it is a personal preference. I didn't use to masticate, I'm a christian you see. Most of the time we just put let the crackers dissolve in our mouths.

I actually saw a woman masticating while walking down the street only yesterday! Can you believe it? She was actually making loud smacking sounds and it took her three whole blocks to finish the wet dookie

It usually takes about 10 minutes if I am already turned on when I start...............OOHHHHHHHHHH MASTICATE!...........I only chew my food for as long as it takes to effectively prepare it for swallowing.

I chew every bite 31 one times, one chew takes .09 seconds and I always eat 48 bites, so that works out to 3 minutes 14.0033 seconds each meal.

Food, not long. I eat fast, but I have never counted how much it takes me exactly.
Gum, for ages. I can spend a whole day with the same bubble gum in my mouth.
