BIG DIFFERENCE! Abe was an intelligent self-made man born in poverty while Dubya was born with his foot in his mouth to a family of wealth where his daddy even managed to see to it that he receive passing grades in college; Abe freed the slaves in America, Dubya wants to enslave America fianancially. Abe was known for being a backwoods wrestler and a scrappy fellow... Dubya's a momma's boy bordering on being a sissy! Honest Abe... Lying & Cheating Dubya! Abe was also known for his wit, Dubya for his Bushisms. Abe was a great President; Dubya is a great rodeo clown! HUGE difference!

Both Bush and Lincoln are great Presidents but since they served in two different centuries I am going to have to say no.

Close but not quite. They both were/are great Presidents but President Bush never suspended the right of Habes Corpus and jailed his political rivals like Lincoln did.

He's short. Lincoln was tall. He's an idiot. Lincoln was exceptionally bright. They're both known for their speeches, but for very different reasons. Lincoln was a man of the people. Bush loves to give it to the people.

So...unless Bush has wooden teeth, I don't see the similarity.

If Bush were back in Lincoln's era he'd be a slave owner and seemingly an abusive one at that. His brother Jeb would buy into the system because that's how it was but he doesn't have that mean streak in him where he would abuse his workers. This is just a personal observation and I think that I am correct in it.

Although, I do not believe Lincoln is the saint he is seen as today, it is still incorrect to liken Bush to this Lincolnesque image of bravery and raw determination when it comes to preserving the Union. If anything, Bush is the antithesis of these Lincoln-era ideals.

He never claimed to be a modern day Lincoln so it's a moot point.

Bush may be many things...some of which cannot be mentioned here but he is No Lincoln!

If he thinks he is, he is wrong just like he has been wrong about almost everything else!
