in polite company should your linen be dropped post haste or do wait until the dignified conversation has reached it's end?

Post haste, I've tried to wait for a polite moment, but people started to smell the offending turtle head and made their excuses to walk away. Needless to say I was a bit embarrased as I sprinted to the bogs...

You should wait, I got in too much of a hurry once and dropped of the Shroud of Turin at the dry cleaners...the monks was mad as heck..

It's dropped as soon as it's soiled, of course. I have no use for soiled cloth.
