Push the ignition key in slightly and turn it toward you.

When you turn the key in the ignition, you should feel a few clicks (stops) before you get to the part that starts the engine. Now, at the first or second part you should be able to turn on the radio.

Have you tried turning the key to the aux. setting? You usually turn it back twards you.There may be a button that has to be pushed to turn the key. If there is it should be the same one you push to remove the key from the ignition. DON"T turn it forwards to listen to the radio!! That energizes the coils and will burn them out costing alot of money to fix.

turn the ignition like u are going to start the chevy and then turn it back and it should work that way.
