need a new computer?

ya I need a new desktop under $2000 canadian and I need a dual core with at least 2.2 gigaherts with 2 gigs ram 250 gb hard drive 512 mb of grafics memory and i dont really know how to build one

Try Dell, HP, or Gateway.

Or try a local retailer such as Best Buy (or the Canadian equivalent).

I wouldn't buy a Dell, I would just build my own and if you can't do that, then you'll just have to customize one. There are other companies that customize computers but I had trouble finding one that would service Canada, Dell is just an easy answer and it is within your price range (customize to your needs).

But there's some advice, you don't NEED a 2.2GHz dual core processor (1.86GHz is plenty) and I don't recommend 512MB of graphics memory unless the card is a Geforce 7950 or above. If you do get 512MB of memory the card may be a low end board using slower memory (GDDR2 as opposed to GDDR3). Memory speed is more important than the amount of memory as is the memory bus (128-bit to 256-bit is preferred, lower end cards have 64-bit bus)

Google "build computer" for instuctions and you can easily put one together from scratch. then go to a maor outlet and buy the parts you need. One afternoon or one weekend, you have your "little baby" that YOU made.
