Here's what I do. I bookmark things I like and file them in categories, but I also write down things that inspire me to look at in a small notebook, like a journal. Then I Google or Yahoo them, find out more via Internet.
I recommend keeping a journal of your creative thoughts. The Internet can help.

I tend to get sidetracked and end up looking at things I hadn't intended looking up - before I know it an hour has passed and I still haven't found what I was looking for in the first place!
