Support your local team! I love the Capitals because we've got Ovechkin and I love the local teams!

My other favorite?? Tampa Bay! I went to my first Hockey game in tampa and have been hooked ever since.

No one can tell you who to root for! Why did I get Zubrus instead of the more popular Ovechkin on my jersey? Just a thing for big enforcer types I guess. Go with your gut and root for who you love!

Go with the Sharks. They have an awesome 1-2 punch in Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau. They have 2 goaltenders that would be good enough to start for any team. They have a core of young d-men who will solidify the defense for a long time to come. The team as a whole is young, strong, big, and deep. They have one of the best scouting teams and a deep minor league system. And, they are definitely one of the teams considered by many to win the Cup this year. Go Sharks!

My answer is very biased but I would say the Pittsburgh Penguins. They have a very young team, I believe the youngest in the Eastern Conference. They have talent as well. Players like Sidney Crosby and Evegni Malkin are fun to watch because they have such good puck control and skill that they are dangerous whenever they are on the ice. Marc-Andre Fleury, the goalie, is also very good and fun to watch.

Until recently, I would have said the Sharks, but they seem to have pretty much given up the rest of the season, breaking a 165 hour streak of not scoring any goals (that means about 4 games with no goal). Yikes...I like the Anaheim Ducks; Pronger, McDonald, Scott Niedermeyer (his brother, Rob, is also on the team), and Selanne make the team one of the hottest in the league. Edmonton has a fairly good team, but they are a bunch of bullies and cheats; also they're fans are very unsportsmanlike.

you'll discover many diverse causes to love a crew. one will be the gamers on the crew. There will be dissimilar superstar gamers on the crew, or gamers that are solid position fashions (i.e. do lots for the community), or gamers that performed for a school on your state that you referred to. The Sharks are one in each and every of my widespread communities because Pavelski and Heatley went to Wisconsin. yet another reason will be the historic previous of a franchise, or the type of play that crew makes use of. in accordance to what city or state you stay in, think ofyou've got an AHL crew it is affiliated with an NHL crew. I stay in Milwaukee, so i love the Predators (Milwaukee Admirals NHL associate). yet my 2 widespread communities are the Flyers and Blues. I loved Lindros and Leclair again in the day and characteristic loved the Flyers ever considering. so some distance because the Blues, I even don't understand why i love them, do basically. If none of that helps, watch some video games, perhaps there'll be a crew that stands proud that you delight in watching.

i started out going to minor league hockey games in my home town and they were affiliated with the sabres at the time.it helped me learn about the game, the rules are pretty simple and the game is easy to follow.from there i became a sabre fan and then a redwing fan.so maybe that is a good place for you to start and if you want to be a bandwagon jumper that is your choice.there is something or someone good on just about every time out there now.the games are very exciting. i used to be a big football fan and since i was introduced to hockey football has taken a back seat. hockey is so much more exciting and fast paced, they are not a bunch of over paid crybabies!!!!!!!!!!they love what they do and don't get on the tv and bash each other.

If you have a local NHL team, it would make the most sense to cheer them on. If not whichever team is geographically closest to you would also be a good candidate.

If you're looking for a perrenial winner, I think the Wings or the Devils are good choices.

If you're looking for the next up and coming team, many people, myself included, consider the Penguins to be the next potential dynasty. I think they'll be fun to watch for many years.

The best team to cheer for and follow would be The New York Rangers. They are a team that has been around since 1926 and are one of the original 6 teams. Their fans are very loyal and cheer for them no matter what. So if you are going to be a Ranger fan, you're going to have to be loyal also. The Rangers are also a team with lots of tradition and history. (They play in Madison Square Garden!!!)
