Basically, you put your finger tips on the pointer and ask a question. First you should ask if there is anyone there that is willing to talk. Then go about your question asking. If I were you, I would get rid of it. My cousin has one and has been trying to get rid of it for years. Every time he throws it away he finds in again somewhere in his house. Also, you never know who is there answering your questions. It could be an evil spirit that wants to harm you.

if i were you i would not want to mess with one. you should watch this show every thursday night on the discovery channel. it talks about hauntings. the shows title is the haunting. i would stay away from them because you never know what sort of drama you are inviting into your life. if you mess with one do not say some one failed to warn you. besides if you are a religious person and believe in god it is a sin to use one.
