The War starring Kevin Costner- even though he is billed as the big star the two children are the main characters and the story centers around what they are going through. I can't remember the girl's name but the boy is a very young Elijah Wood.
Crooklyn- Which is a Spike Lee movie written by his sister about what she went through growing up in the 70's
