Is Gateway the brand a good laptop notebook brand??? Do you ONLY have to pay for the internet every month?!?!?! Thanks!!

gate way and hp both really suck
do it right and get a dell
out of all the lap tops Ive ever had to work on dells are by far the best

My gateway laptop was purchased 11/25/2005 and has been in the shop 4 times. It is about useless now and Gateway never cared to fix it even under warranty. I also have an HP laptop that I really like. It is about 2 years old and I have had no problems with it. The screen on my Gateway is the best I have seen. I will not ever recommend gateway to anyone ever again.
Internet. There are many ISPs out there and most will cost you monthly. Of course many places such as coffee shops, fast food joints, etc will advertise WiFi networks and you can take you new laptop there and connect for free. So technically you really do not need to pay for an internet connection.

Gateway and HP they both really suck girl, trust me you'd thank me for saving you away from them once in the future.
go for a Toshiba which is the best and most selling laptop outthere, or an Acer a very exelent priced system and better than Hp or Gateway in quality. Sony makes some good systems too, but trust me other than the screen the system is better on Acer than sony.
If u want to kno more, Gateway support is yet another horrible service out there, next to HP.
get a Toshiba and u'll never regret. The product quality and the price is very attractive.

I'm going to suggest Asus as the brand of laptop to acquire. I do not have one myself, but two of my acquaintances do and they have both said it's the best one they ever owned.
As to monthly internet payments. Usually this is the case, although there are two ISPs where I live that give you a discount if you pay 6 months up front and a year up front. These are independent providers (Sisna Internet Service and Aeroquik), not big corporations like Qwest or Comcast, etc.

ISP , Internet Service Provider is a choice, there are many plans at many pay scales, most all home accounts are monthly. Most all business accounts are monthly.
Some Wi-Fi are by use or carrier.
Gateway makes a good box, every PC is built to last about 5 years. Then they go kaput, it is defective by design and it works because we keep buying them.
I use to pay for the Minute, that was OLD AOL, it was funny.

I saw one in Future Shop the other day, and I thought that it was really good. I heard that it was good from other people too. And yes, I pay for internet every month. I've never heard of paying for internet any other way?

Gateway is good....I too would advise against HP. And yes....internet is a monthly bill.

gateway..is an amzaing brand..but iwould advise u not to get hp if u ever decide to get another latptop..but anyway...it depends on what kind internet u have..and most of thet ime..its every month
