In mitosis, daughter cells should be identical to the parent cells.

Are we talking mitosis or meiosis?

E. more than 1 long and more than 1 short. Daughter chromosomes have variations of the parents, and can't have just one kind of chromosome.

In Mitosis the daughter cells have chromosomes exactly the same as the parent cell. In Meiosis the daughter cells have half the chromosomes as the parent cell does.
