I've been seeing it around my neighborhood alot, and i love it! But i dont know what its called.

it has large fist sized pink blossoms on bare branches. They grow pretty tall, above house height sometimes. They look like big darker pink flowers on completely bare branches with no leaves. The blossoms almost reminds me of the tulip shape.. rounded in

It's a Japanese magnolia. There is two types of magnolia's, evergreen and deciduous. The deciduous Japanese varieties growing habit is that the flower precedes any leaf growth. The tree is loaded with pinkish/purple flowers even before the leaves bud out. The magnolia is the official state flower of both Mississippi and Louisiana.

It sounds like it could be a tulip-flowered Magnolia(possibly Magnolia soulangeana)..here's a picture:

where is your neighborhood? not everything will grow everywhere. my first guess would be some kind of magnolia. the flowers look like matured open tulips.
