The Dixie Chicks criticized President Bush about 4 years ago about the war in Iraq(it was very negative).The public took the side of the President.It got so bad a couple of years ago that they can celled their World tour.Not ready to make nice,was intended for Pres Bush.The Public loved it and they won a Grammy for best song of the year.Congrats to the Dixie Chicks.

it's saying that she is getting hurt by people (emotionally; they're talking about her and being mean and stuff) and that she doesn't just wanna give in. She's saying she's sick of being bullied and hurt by people and just wants them 2 stop, but doesn't want to just forgive them and have it happen again.
