This has happened many times before, but after I cleaned it, it has opened. It's a Dell, computer, not laptop, and I've cleaned it a lot, but nothing has happened. Can someone help me?

To get your CD out, there should be a fail safe. There should be a tiny hole on the Cd drive. YOu can put a little paper clip in and it wil eject.

Check and see if Your dell is under warranty and call them and see if you can get it repaired or replaced.

Good luck!

If this is a consistent problem that won't go away, your best bet is to just buy a new one (not very expensive at all). There's just a couple plastic gears on a small axel that open and close the tray, so chances are there's some kind of dirt stuck in between the axel and gear, or the small motor to turn the gears has worn down

If you mean the door your ready for a new one a repair would probably cost the same and you should be able to swap the door. Possibly fit a DVD recorder. If its software reinstall or go to this site for your drivers http://www.symplisit.com/link/en/html
