I find RAP annoying myself. Thought most of the grunge thing was bad. Can't stand U2. Don't understand how about 60% of females singers are called talented, good looking maybe but my cat meowing sounds better. See we all have our own tastes. I don't care if you don't like country. I happen to like Southern Rock and Country. I don't get why people watch American Idol and claim most of those people can sing. Does that mean that no one else thinks they can? I'm sure some people agree with me though. I say if you don't like it don't listen. Either ask them not to listen to it around you, or get a personal radio get the headphones in your ears and blast it over their music. If they have their music too loud for you to hear yours then tell them to turn it down, they would be doing damage to their ears anyway.

Country isn't BAD. You just have to find real country to listen to. All this new country is commercialized and sounds the same. Listen to anything country before the 1980's and you'll find some good stuff. It's all about the story they're telling.
I forgot to add, if rock is your thing. You owe country a big thank you. Rock got it's start from country, blues, and folk music. Case in point, Bob Dylan.
Maybe rap is your thing. Southern rap is heavily influenced by country and gospel. I bet if you asked any rap artist from the south like Ludacris or Nelly (who in fact did that country song with who I think was Tobey Keith), they will tell you they grew up on country.
Be a little more open minded!!!!

If you're judging music based on a genre label, you're missing out.
You may dislike certain songs or singers you've heard, but you've not heard everything, so you don't know that you hate it all.
Why not flip through the channels when you're alone and listen to different country stations, you'd be surprised at what you'll find that you like
I love music and grew up to value all musical genres. I would never say that I 'hate' any genre. Anyone riding in my car with me will hear me sing along to anything from the oldest blue grass recordings ( love the stanleys), to classic country (george jones, dolly pardon, tom t hall, merle haggard), to more contemporary country (dixie chicks, sugarland) to classic rock ( elvis, america, the who) to hard rock, pop, blues, 80's hair bands, classical, indi, i could go on and on and on.

I've gone through different stages my whole life. First, I liked country because that's what my parents listened to. Then I like rock/heavy metal, because that's what my friends listened to. Then I liked country again, because I went through a divorce and it helped me get through the tough times. Now, I like anything from hip/hop, R&B, pop, country, rock. Any music can be uplifting if you give it a chance. My husband hates hip/hop with a passion, and I always tell him he needs to stop being so close-minded and give some different music a chance. I'd give you a week of listening to some classic country and you would probably feel different.

u . s . a . music is stunning in my opinion. some songs arent very stable yet all in all u . s . a . music is great. lots of the songs many times have greater powerful messages then all that different rap and junk. i did no longer used to like it, yet my brother consistently replaced to a rustic station interior the motor vehicle, (and in artwork type our instructor consistently had on u . s . a . music movies as quickly as we've been working) and after listening to it for a mutually as i grow to be addicted!

I like country music, and just because you aren't a good speller doesn't mean that you can't take advantage of the handy little spell check button

Any music played by the artist and you can understand that I will listen to. and as long as it isn't degrading. I like bands not just singers with a taped background, karaoke singing is for bars

I DON'T! your spelling and grammar on the other hand...
and do you really think country is more annoying than hip hop? or Fallout and Panic! and red jumpsuit apparatus and hawthorne heights? or that song "the final countdown" or "we built this city on rock and roll"? you have terrible music tastes if you think that country is the most annoying music ever.

Nope, Country music IF you would listen to it, tells stories, either tragedy, love themes, sorrow, happiness. Where today's crap ( not to be rude) is just loud outlandish noise, with people who can't sing, they yell, or scream out what can't even be construed as lyrics. Love Country music always will.

I hate country music.
Unfortunately, I work at a bar that plays it exclusively. I've thought about quitting several times because of it alone.
