How do I keep my wookie from rusting?

I have a pet wookie in my backyard and his fur rusts occasionally

take 3 boxes of baking soda and an equal amount of vinegar...dump into a large tub outside and add triple the amount of water. dip your wookie in this 3 times (use caution so as not to get this mixture near the face) and then hang wookie to dry. this should work at least until the next rain...if wookie fights the dipping...it may be best to simply keep wookie indoors when it rains or snows.
