i personally stopped medication, which is preferred because most of the meds can harm the baby. but if it is really bad you need to stay on meds, and also go and see someone to talk to. For me it was hard because i am a very closed off person so i never talked when i went, try to even talk to a friend that you feel you can open up to. It will be very difficult. Having some support person will help. good luck. Stick in there, I know it will be hard sometimes.

I tried going off medication and started going to therapy when I started trying to conceive. That worked for a while, until I got pregnant and then had an early miscarriage (about 1.5 months ago). I wasn't coping very well after that, so I decided to go back on anti-depressants (zoloft, specifically, since it's relatively safe to take while pregnant). I'm hoping, however, that once I get pregnant and stay pregnant, I'll be able to get off the zoloft, since I don't particularly like some of the side effects I get with it.

i'm being 'treated' right now. not actually alowed 2 live on my own so i'm living with my ex's parents (not weird at all...lol), no meds cuz it made me worse (parnoid i was killin baby) n counciling all the time. and also tlkin 2 other parents who have been thru wot i've been thru.
from day 1 i was convinced womething was going to go wrong, baby be ill, eptopic, etc, then summat kinda did. the dad left me just as i was falling (very fast) into the throngs of depression. i'm now right slap bang in the middle n mood swings are very bad, one minute crying, the next laughing, then just angry if sum1 dnt say pardon after burping! its stupid. i have times i can sit dwn n think im fine, just being stupid, then hormones get the better of me. typical.

anywayz, gd luck my darling¬¬ its super hard, one of the worst depressions u can ever get. u want 2 harm urself, but not the baby, u wana die, but u want ur baby 2 b ok...very confusing time. trust me i kno. if u want or need 2 tlk at anytime email me!! i may have my own problems, but knowing sum1 else kno's n understands how u feel really helps.
