Take some across the counter Sinus medication. It will dry your sinuses and the Eustachian tube that runs from your ear to your throat. It should help.

Ibuprofen should help, it is for inflammation and swelling. Your ear probably has some fluid and swelling. When the stirrup in the ear touches anything it causes the vertigo.

Good Luck, it is a real pain in the neck.

My Husband has always had a tremendous amount of hearing and ear infection problems. Tinnitus=noise the the ears and Menneires=PROFOUND VERTIGO.

I experience ear aches accompanied with vertigo just before I get a case of flu.

There are various reasons for this. My mom had this and it finally passed after 2 months - no flu.

Dr. said it was a virus, not infection (I had an exam).

But at least I get a little warning before illness is full blown. Not a pleasant feeling though.

Take an old tube sock ffill it full of dried beans or rice. tie the end and put it in the microwave for 3 minutes and leave it on your ear until it gets warm. You can store it the freezer till you need it again also good for neck pain and anything else . can be used cold or hot.
