I'm a teen just like yourself and im just wondering what you did to make her think she had to hit you?? Because sometimes im a little mouthy and i get hit but never BRUISED. I think that is pretty serious. You cant get put in Juvie but if you show police that bruise and it happens again they make take you away from your mom. SO i would think twice about running away cause if you tell them the story and they feel ur mom could be abusing you, they will take you away. If you don't want to leave i advise you to talk to ur mother.

If it was a one time thing don't runaway. In my state if a child runs away they will automatically put you into a group home and make you a ward of the state. My sister did this for attention and found this out the hard way. There was nothing my parents could do for her anymore. They no longer had any rights over my sister!

Instead of running away, you should contact the authorities. More likely than not, they will side with you if they feel it was wrong for you to be hit, especially if you have bruising.
But if you run away, no you will most likely not go to jail or juvie. But please, find another solution. Talk to an adult, a guidance counselor, a police officer, a teacher, anybody.

Don't run away. Talk things out with your mother and try to keep it calm. If it makes you feel safer, make her promise never to lay a hand on you again (even if she can't admit she already did.) Running away not only leaves behind something very important - which is your family (even if it is only your mom and she and you aren't getting along at the moment) but it exposes you to so many dangers that you mother would like to protect you from because she DOES love you.
At the very least, calm down and let her calm down. Let some time pass. Check back with Answers in 6 months and update us on what is happening!

Don't run away! You will go to juvie, and if the court decides that you can't go home with your mom then they will most likely put you in foster care. There are tons of hotlines to go to for help, but running away is not the best way to resolve this.

u only go 2 juvie if u are already in court for something. I have a friend who goes to court because she was dating a guy who is 18 and shes only 14. Her parents caught her sneaking out of the house and they took he guy to court. He has a restraining order now. She told me that she wanted to run away but she said she couln't because if she did, she would go to juv. But if run away normal and uv neva done anything rong, u will not be arrested

If you think you are being abused, either talk to a counselor at school or call CPS yourself, but be aware, you will be taken from your mom and taken to a relative's house or taken to a foster home in all likelyhood. Please don't run way, so many young girls runaway from home and wind up selling thieir boides, being raped or killed or worse. It is better to call the cops, CPS or tell the school and go to foster care, it isn't as bad as you think and you will be safe, please don't runaway, call someone to help you.

I think if your mom hit you and is abusing you call the police. Never runway its not safe and you will end up back with your mom and the problem will not be solved. U can also call a hotline for help. And talk to your school counselor. Good luck
