I don't understand the difference between "natural light" , plant grow or flourescent light bulbs in an attempt to give houseplants artificial sunlight. Do any or all work?

Flourescent and grow lights both work because they have all of the wavelengths that plants need to grow and they simulate natural light. Natural light is most always best though.

They will all work, but plant grow lights will have better results in the long term. The other bulbs will have to be "on" a lot longer and use more electicity.

Those florescent bulbs called "growlux" worked well for me but sure brought red color into foliage. I tried 1 growlux and one natural light had as good results I find incandescent lighting to work just fine without the special fixtures and bulbs.,and the new screw in florescent might really be good and they are less expensive due to long life and energy savings.
