Firstly family and friends, but of England itself: a peaceful meadow, a river running through it with weeping willows on its banks, a church across the meadow and the sound of birdsong. That, and Wimbledon! I no longer live in England, so I think I'm probably seeing everything through rose-tinted glasses! But I have drawn on real memory for those thoughts - albeit from a decade ago. If, however, you really mean 'Lie back, etc.,' then I think: 'Hmmm, that's such a nice light fitting, I'm so glad we found it; now how many leaves does it have, 1,2,3,4, Mmmm, 5, 6 .......!'

How the brits came together during WW2. Must had been tough back then. Also the plague during the middle ages springs to mind too.

As a male I'm not sure I can answer this question, but what about something like, "Look at the size of that cobweb on the ceiling. I'll get that down later."

How in the hell my ancestors lived their before coming here. Seriously, I think of rats and fleas, blood pudding, meat pie, fish and chips, salt pork, Lord Nelson and the Victory, the dentist, red coats, kings and queens and their relation to Poker and other card games.
