I make it seven. The first to play Bond was Barry Nelson, in a 1954 CBS television dramatization of 'Casino Royale.' Sean Connery was the first to play Bond on film in 'Dr. No' (1962). George Lazenby played him once in 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service' (1969). Roger Moore assumed the role in the seventies and Timothy Dalton took over in the eighties. 007 been played by Pierce Brosnan. In the spoof Bond film 'Casino Royale' (1967) the hero was portrayed by David Niven. And mose recently Daniel Craig.

That is problematic, since in the first movie of "Casino Royale" they reassigned every agent as "James Bond, 007".
