USC wins the Pasadena battle. BUT UCLA won last year to spoil USC's N.C. chances in the last week of the season. I like UCLA because USC always beats Michigan in the Rose Bowl.

Overall, USC. Granted, UCLA had an 8 year stint in the 90's where they beat USC....as far as talent and wins, USC has the monopoly on that one. USC won back to back national championships in 2003-2004 and has had several Rose Bowl apperances (when the Rose Bowl was heralded as "the granddaddy of them all").
UCLA vs. USC will always be a top game because of the intense rivalry in which no matter what their season record, both teams come to play. So more often than not, the game is going to be close.....cross-state rivalries usually pan out that way.

I agree with you...USC in football, UCLA in Basketball...Course, USC has some black eyes, such as recruiting scandals, Reggie Bush and OJ as an alum...and the UCLA legend of John Wooden is still bigger than the USC legend of Pete Carroll...

edempsy ???????????? UCLA is better than USC in baseball ?????????? LMMFAO!!!!!!!!!! USC has won 12 national championships in baseball, UCLA has never won a national championship in baseball. TRY to have a clue before you post an opinion. my goodness!!!!!!!! USC is to college baseball what UCLA is to college basketball.
sweety? USC vs. UCLA is an "intense" rivalry? it is without question the LEAST intense rivalry in the Pac 10. ive been to countless USC vs. UCLA football games and continually see Trojan and Bruin fans tailgating together and people wearing Trojan shirts and Bruin hats. relaxed would be a better word to describe USC vs. UCLA. in 1991, a FAR superior Cal team lost to Stanford largely because of eight personal foul penalties on Cal, four of which gave Stanford a first down after they failed to convert a third down (ie- late hit). THATS an intense rivalry. Washington and Oregon hate each other far more than USC and UCLA do, and they arent even traditional rivals.
but as for the original question that i have yet to answer, without a doubt USCs football program dumps all over UCLAs. more wins head to head (by far), more conference championships (by far), more national championships (by far), more bowl appearances and wins (by far), more seasons ranked (by far) ...... there is basically no category in college football that matters that UCLA tops USC in.

Well in football, USC by far.
In any other sport, basketball, soccer, maybe basbeall (but USC is getting better in that) UCLA has the edge.

USC is becoming to dominant. I dont like them but they are better. Even hoops is starting to come along for them. They need to stop cheating. Make the kids learn in there academics as well as sports.
