I would not think she is gay necessarily, but I would definitely hold it as a possibility.
Some people just like the design.

Yes, I would probably think that. My son is gay & he wears one....so it would be a logical conclusion for me.
Many people are not aware of the rainbow's significance as a gay symbol, though.

no not at all
rainbows have become popular again as a motif in jewlery, clothing, etc.
while it probably used to be an indicator, today, using a necklace to determine one's sexuality is not a smart idea.

No I would not and this is similar to some clothing I wear that people view me as gay for. It does not matter however.

uh NOOO! I don't know any teenage girls that DON'T like rainbows, butterflies, hearts, and so on. Well, with the exception of goth girls. And even a lot of them like rainbows.

No. She probably just likes the colorful symbol. But who knows...teenagers are much more advanced that when I was that age.

No, I wouldn't. People who make such assumptions are expressing their own fear called homophobia because heterosexual people are free to discuss their sexual preferences, but not the LGBTQ community, which is really sad.
