is bangers and mash a good meal to cook my missus or shall i take her to the local greasy spoon

Go on, splash out. Take her to the greasy spoon but don't make a habit of it because our ladies can be a bit demanding if you spoil them too much. She'll be wanting to go up market next and it will be Little Chef before you know it.

Maybe a step up from the greasy spoon would be better. The bangers and mash are definitely out of the question. Come on, splurge on the missus a bit. The anniversay only comes once a year.

Make An Effort It Doesnt Have To Cost A Lot...
Put Some Candles On The Table And A Siingle Rose In The Miiddle. Dress Up Niice And Make A Siimple Meal Liike Lasagne Or Pasta. Im Sure Shell Love It If You Put Some Effort Into it.

How about neither.
You can't do bangers and mash to celebrate an aniversary.
How about steak
Leave it to get to room temperature
Heat pan
Heat REAL butter, just a knob.
Throw in some pepper corns and salt, a little garlic and some lemon juice.
Fry on a low heat.
Serve with fat chips. Yum.
She'd be well impressed and its dead easy.

Happy anniversary - go for the bangers and mash - but cook it naked with a rose between your teeth! Just watch out for the fat spitting - ouch!

I think that you should cook for her, that shows that you care, but don't do bangers and mash do her a stir-fry as that is quick and easy
