Your questions are sensible and understandable, hopefully I can answer them all to your satisfaction.
1)Your cycle length is longer than average but still quite normal. You probably ovulate somewhere between day 14 and day 18. To find out more precisely you could try using an ovulation thermometer. Its a bit fiddly as as soon as you wake up each morning, and before you move about, you must reach over to the
thermometer and take your temperature, an increase of about 0.2 degrees suggests ovulation. The alternative is to use an ovulation predictor like 'Persona'. Ovulation predictors work by testing your urine each morning for the Luteinising Hormone (LH) surge which indicates the egg is shortly to be released.

2)it is important to take folic acid supplements BEFORE you conceive. Folic acid is a harmless vitamin and can be taken indefinitely. The pre-conseptual dose is 400 micrograms per day.

3)Vitex (Agnus Castus) they are names for the same thing, is just plain useless junk and has no effect at all!

Sorry to here of you loss

Q1. You are likely to ovulate approximately 14 days prior to your next period. As yours is slightly irregular then you may find it useful to chart your Basal Body temperature. Alternative you could use ovulation predictor kits ( little sticks you pee on) from day 14 onwards Other symptoms to look out for when you are at your most fertile include egg white cervical mucus. Slip your fingers just into the entrance of you vagina if the mucus/discharge is clear and stretchy like egg whites then this is a good sign. See below for a site with more details of BBT and cervical mucus.

Q2. The medics in the Uk recommend 12 week/3 months of taking additional folic acid prior to attempting to conceive so I would say this is fine. Remember that you shouldnt take vitamin A supplaments if you are trying to conceive.

Q3. I also have heard about Agnus Castus being a useful aid for ovulation however I have also heard that it should not be taken whilst pregnant so the women I know on the website I go where we have all also suffered losses and are trying again only take up until ovulation. It may be worth speaking to a herbalist/ medic about this.

Wishing you every success for the future!

1) Everyone is different.....so it's almost impossible to predict when your ovulation is due.........for example, a normal cycle is around 26 to 28 days.
2) As far as taking folic acid this early, you may want to speak with a doctor or pharmacist about that.
3) Be very careful in taking these "natural" herbs and remedies. They may be natural, but they're also crude. There have been no long term studies done on any of these, so there is no way to find out if there are any long term effects. All companies will "hype" their products, and showing these so call poll results......which are always favorable. This actually scares me. Please be extremely careful.
My advice to you, is if you want to get pregnant, then let it happen naturally. It's a shame about the ectopic pregnancy.....but those things happen. I wish you the very best in luck.

Ok, from these questions & I know from my personal experience, that cycles are individualized so it doesn't matter when your cycle is, or how long it lasts--that shouldn't be the focus. But your ovolution is "usually" 14 days after your last day of your period.

I think folic acid is benefical as my own doc put me on it at least 3 months before we began to try too. So (from my experience) I wouldn't worry about it :)

I am not familiar with those names you mention, but I have learned since our own experience that eating well, and taking vitamins & minerals & exercise is helpful.

I'm sorry about your loss & can empathsize with the type of frustration you are going through as due to endometriosis, we are having our own difficult time. Keep in touch w/ me if you like?

confident, your cycle length is wide-spread, and that i choose mine grow to be greater like it (i'm like 21 days, ugh), and that i won't be able to aid you recognize while your ovulation is, through fact even in women persons with commonplace 28 day cycles, ovuation happens at different situations. so which you would be able to understand your person cycle and characteristic the final hazard of turning into pregnant, bypass on your drugstore and purchase an ovulation predictor equipment...that's going to attempt your urine for hormones meaning you're ovulating, very like an hpt. yet as a wager, your ovulation is possibly around sixteen-18th day interior the cycle. it relatively is surprising which you're taking folic acid already! Many docs propose initiating to coach your physique via eating and taking supplementations as once you're pregnant for as much as a year earlier attempting to conceive. so which you're doing great. as some distance through fact the third question is going, from the analyze I did (examine the link below) it feels like that agnus castus reasons a loss of sexual choose and performance, so i does not propose it no count number if it relatively is actual. via vites, do you advise supplementations? if so, decide for it...if no longer, i could no longer locate what you have been asking approximately, sorry. ultimate of success!
