Well - you want some place that has the lowest crime rate and lowest rate of sex offenders - so let's do a little math.
According to MorganQuinto.com, parts of New Jersey and Maryland are the safest places in America when it comes to crime.
And by looking at sex offender laws which are highly enforced WHEC-TV in NY says New York is the toughest.
Edit: Real mature on whomever rated down 1 on everyone else's recommendation - and don't move to Oklahoma - I lived here for 10 years, not that great.
So, you can't go wrong with the Northeast for a famil.y

This website is a great resource.. You answer questions about the type of place you like to live and it gives you suggestions.. I did it a few years ago and 4 of my top 10 were within 100 miles of where I was already living :) I guess I was in "my spot"

Paintsville, Pikeville, or Prestonsburg KY. There is crime as there will be anywhere. But I feel they are great places to live or wait Winchester, KY is beattiful with big old houses and farms and its 20-30 minutes from Lexington (where you could possibly find some good jobs) Dont let the KY part bother you we are not all barefoot, pregnant at 12 and making moonshine like some people like to think
