Im looking to buy a mercedes benz CL500, and it is a expensive car. I found some in my price range with 60k-70k miles on them. I know these cars are built really good, so i was just wondering is 65k-70k miles alot for these cars, or will this car last for like 200k-300k miles.
thanks

Depends who owned it, a Benz that has been maintained 65,000 isn't much at all. It basically is just broke in. Parts are expensive, but if you take good care of it it will goo for another 200,000, CL500's a sweet ride what year model?

If you buy it at 60-70k it should be ok as long as the previous owner took care of it well. The car should still have a long life ahead of it. Also remember that once your car hits 100k there will be a lot of things that you might end up replacing due to natural wear and tear. This might end up costing you about the same at the end if you were to purchase a newer car. I say buy it. Beware of what your buying. Have a mechanic check it before you purchase it. Make sure what your warranties and how long they last. Take good care of it and trade it in two to five years.

It depends on how long it took to get the 65000 miles, if it was
in a very short time with poor maintenance records, I would
caution purchasing this vehicle . Poor care and abuse can
damage a vehicle in a short period. However if this mileage is
over 2 to 3 years or more with good maintenance records
then I would recommend. THE REAL PROFF

Mercedes Benz are some of the finest cars around. I have owned 3 of them. I sold one with 210,000 miles another at 360,000 miles and the last one had 410,000 miles. I only sold them to buy a different Mercedes Benz.
Having 60-70 k is considered very low miles. As with anything if the car is taken car of it will last a long time.
Mercedes Benz in Germany offers a pin and medallion to the owners of Mercedes that have reached, 250k, 500k, 750k, and 1 million miles if that tells you something

N O, that is good as long as you get a reasonable price for it. Check the maintenance record on that particular car before you purchase it. If the maintenance has been kept up, the car should last 2 to 300,000 miles.

What I look for are the records. That car should have Dealer records all the way back to the first oil change. If the person doesn't have records that sends up a flag to me.

It doesn't really matter what the mileage is on an MB as long as it has all the maintenance done to it. Make sure the car has been maintained properly. Keep them maintained and they will keep going.

Well these cars will ( with proper care) last a verry verry long time. With that milage on it I would say only about 35% of the car has been used.
I would buy it with that little miles on it.
