Why is the media hiding much of that historical information from the public?

You will find how Israel is "defending itself" or how Israel is ,sometimes, making "technical errors"...Those are the usual excuses for those massacres...
Unfortunately the media is usually telling just one side of the story,Israel's ...And as long as Israel is supported by the strongest country in the world, you won't see those things in the media...Israel is ignoring so many UN resolutions and has been saved so many times by the US from others...So as long as Israel knows no one is punishing them there are going to be many more "technical mistakes"...

You get 1,530,000 hits if you search it as two words (not as a phrase).

It looks to me likes there is plenty of info about massacres all around the world. More than enough to stir things up. Check out the Wiki entry on the subject: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_massacres

I don't think much is being hidden. What's your point?

Massacres, Google search:
Turkish - 1,190,000 hits
Palestinian - 1,240,000 hits
Arab - 1,370,000 hits
Muslim - 1,350,000 hits
Islamic - 1,300,000 hits
Egyptian - 1,140,000 hits
Ottoman - 922,000 hits
Iraqi - 1,280,000 hits
Iranian - 1,490,000 hits
American - 1,220,000 hits
Armenian - 807,000 hits
Chinese - 1,370,000 hits
Massacres - 5,560,000 hits

Ok, I'm bored now, you take a try at it.
