RNB = Rhythm 'n' Blues, is a style of popular music developed in the USA during the 1940s–60s. It drew on swing and jazz rhythms and blues vocals, and was an important influence on rock and roll. It diversified into soul, funk, and other styles. R & B artists include Bo Diddley, Jackie Wilson, Etta James and the late James Brown.
EMO = 'Emotional' a broad title that covers a lot of different styles of emotionally-charged punk rock. The site below is intended to introduce the reader to all the common styles, describe them musically, and give ideas about the essential records of all those styles.
I reckon you're gonna be an expert!

Emo is a new buzz word that teens have invented to describe people with dark thoughts.
In our day, people who dressed in black were called punkers. Then later they were called Gothic. Now it's emo (for emotional).
Sheesh. Mind you there is also the degree of "strangeness" that factors into the picture. The stranger and more bizarre your behaviour is, your clothes are, your make up and piercings are, the more wierd and "emo" you are.
It's hard to separate punkers and gothers and satanists out because they have all kind of blended into one "look".
Why do kids define yourself by the music you listen to?
How silly is that?
I like all kinds of music, rock, country, punk, heavy metal, classical and even opera...ok well I'm stretching it there...but my point is you don't define yourself by that!?!!!!
I dressed all in black and was a "punker" in my day but I certainly wasn't what you would call emo in today's standards.
And I still would rather wear black than some silly pink dress today if I had to pick!!!
If you are suicidal and hiding behind that "look" and you cut yourself for attention etc. or act really bizarre and have a million piercings and tattoos etc. then people will definitely call you EMO because you are far from resembling everyone else.
This is the risk kids take when daring to be different for the sake of being different. They're not often ready for the flack they get back.
I think it's just a separation of the rich and the poor, the haves and the have nots for the most part.
It's a fashion statement, it's a fad or phase, but for some they spiral off into depression, drugs, dark, harmful thoughts etc. then they are definitely troubled people.
This is what I think the term EMO really refers to.
Problem is when used generally and literally it does a lot of harm to insecure teens who are having a hard enough time trying to find themselves, and to be labelled this is not a good thing for all the negativity it implies.

RNB is R&B=Rhythm & Blues (Think: Usher, Beyonce, etc). Emo is a lifestyle/style. It means emotional, in touch with your emotions. Some examples of emo music: Panic! at the Disco, The Killers, etc. Emo boys & girls wear tight, lowrise jeans (usually bought in the ladies dept. even though boys are wearing them), most have facial piercings of some sort, stretched ears w/plugs, bleached/died/fauxhawk/razor-cut hair and tight shirts usually as well.

R 'n' B stands for 'Rhythm and Blues' (people like Lemarr)
Emo is 'emotional rock' and I believe that Pink Floyd were the first 'emo' group. Teenagers today however define 'emo' as people like My Chemical Romance, Hawthorn Heights and Bullet for my Valentine.
Emo also has a particular dress code (in my day they were called Goths....) of things like skinny jeans, smart pinstripe jackets, stripey tops etc, along with the obligatory black eyeliner (for guys and girls!) and straightened hair which often sweeps across the face and over the eyes

oh my friend how much you have to learn... 1st:an emo is like a goth that self harms, is constantly grumpy and genourally a bit strange. It stands for an EMOtional person. They like wearing red and black too.
2nd: RnB music stands for rythem and blues. So for example Neyo, Beyonce*, Ciera, Chris Brown and Shaun Paul would all come under the RnB title.

R&B developed in the US. It stands for Rhythm and Blues. Historically, it is a black style of music, but a few white singers and musicians have been successful in the genre. It was very influential in forming Rock & Roll, and was itself very influenced by Jazz and Blues.
I believe emo is an English thing, so I can't answer that.
