its getting impossible to watch a programme,40 mins adverts 20 mins programme.
even childrens tv channels are begging for aid and offering loans etc.
it is disgusting.

I have learnt the approximate commercial brake is 3.5 mins, so I just hit the remote?

Skipping through the adverts as 30x speed is brill!!
Cuts out all the advert c*ap when you've recorded something.
However, I know EXACTLY what you mean. When I was at home when my youngest was born, I used to watch This Morning with Richard and Judy. One day I timed the actual amount of time given to 'proper articles'. Out of a two hour programme, only 25 mins was actual interesting stuff. The rest was "..... and coming up next is....." "join us after the break for ..."
Like you, I too am fed up of all the begging for aid and apply for loan adverts. Carole Vorderman should be ashamed of herself, if anyone knows the 'numbers' with regard to the huge APR these firms charge the unsuspecting applicants, she surely does.
Grrrrr!!!

Because advertising pays for the programming and because the more ads, the more money for the networks, and because they can and do get away with it. also, because advertising works. Follow the money. There you have your answers.
