I understand totally where you are coming from with this question. It is a known fact that many mixed children struggle with identity and fitting in with the outer world. Mixed kids usually tend to be emotionally and psychologically unhealthy, especially in America. I would be willing to provide studies for those who don’t agree or are not willing to accept the facts.

"Do parents care that they will have a big identity crisis?"
This is totally an unintelligent question.
I have mixed race children, and you know what they do when looking at family albums? They smile and laugh, and say ..Remember this? They were not raised with either race being better than each other. And neither were their relatives. They were raised with high self esteem and love, knowing that they are wonderful and unique...just like any other kids should be...no matter what race they are.

I am 1/4 Gadje and I never felt bad about my Gadje blood or wondered where I fit in.
I was told about my Gadje blood as well as my Rromani blood. My Gadje blood is standard White, from Romania, originally from Poland.
I have no identity crisis.

My children are mixed and we have thought them that all races are beautiful. We have thought them that they are no different from somebody else they have toes, nose, ears, hair and so forth as you and everybody else. People like you make it a big deal by asking questions and starring at mixed kids.

the picture never is perfect ,yes indeed children will have identity problems ,even though previous guys here denied it,but parents dont intend to do this to their children it just happened that they liked each other and fought to get married, but it has bright sides also as children grow stronger ,open minded to differences, respect others different than them because they exactly know how it feels, and they never become racist.

My daughter doesn't seem to care. She knows both sides of her family, she's well adjusted. The only reason why a child would become self-conscious is if one makes a big deal out of it, which we don't.

I wouldn't be suprised.
There is so much useless emphasis on race in our culture. It is very sad.
