I know all the lyrics of any song I heard more than twice. And the melody. Of course I don't remember what I ate for lunch yesterday, but you have to remember something. I have a weird musical memory. So in a nutshell yes I do remember, and yes I'm old.

My teen years were like, 30 years ago, but amazingly I can remember the words to all the songs that I listened to back then. Pretty sad, because I can't remember what I had for breakfast this morning (sigh).

I think I'm in the boat with Mom of 2. I can remember most of the songs from my teen years just like it was yesterday, but yesterday was a while back.

Yes and my kids thought I was really trendy when I knew the words to cover versions done in the eighties and nineties, but I just remembered them when the were out the first time.

' Sixteen Tons '
Some people say a man is made out of mud
A poor man's made out a muscle and blood
Muscle and blood and skin and bone
A mind that's weak and a back that's strong

You load Sixteen Tons wadda ya get
Another day older and deeper in dept
St. Peter don't ya call me 'cos I can't go
I owe my soul to the company store

If you see me commin better step aside
A lotta men didn't and a lotta men died
One fist of iron and the other of steel
If the right one don't get ya, then the left one will

You load sixteen tons, wadda ya get
Another day older and deeper in debt
St Peter don't ya call me 'cos I can't go
I owe my soul to the company store.

This is a song from the 'Fifties' and it was sung by Tennessee Ernie Ford. !! xx
