I AM British - we are very nice people.
We do not blow up passenger planes.
We do not slaughter hostages by slicing their heads off while alive.
We do not make our women walk behind us.
We do not have 'honour' murders of our relatives.
We do not slice off an offender's hands.
We do not publicly behead people.
We do give thousands of millions of pounds to foreign countries as aid.
We do take in people from other countries, some of whom are 'rotters.'
We do pay VAST amounts of taxpayers money on DSS payments to some of the people from abroad - benefits, housing, health, education - all FREE. (Try getting that in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, etc, etc).
We are decent people.
Oh, and we live in a country with FREE SPEECH. Thank you.

I'm American and I think that the United Kingdom is an amazing place! (Your soccer teams aren't bad either!) Plus I love your accents!! Some of the words I dont quite understand, like "tots" and "rotters" but overall I think British people are great!! I'd LOVE to visit London!

I'm American and have been lucky enough to visit the UK several times. I have to say it's a blast and the people are great. As an example, I got into a small fender bender in London. While waiting for the police, a nearby resident came out with Tea and Biscuits for the (four cars) while we waited. Left a deep impression.

I know I'm not supposed to answer this as I am British, but can't resist. I think it is an impossible question because there are good and bad people everywhere. I think as a country we are probably a lot more tolerant than many others and we pride oiurselves on our welcome of all creeds, colours and cultures. Of course we have our share of a@@@ soles, but who doesn't?

I have spent quite a lot of time in the UK and have had a fabulous time there. The people have always been kind and lovely to me and my friends. They are friendly and joke quite a bit about the americans but it is in jest. I love the UK.

Scots are totally different from English people, who are totally different from Welsh people, who are totally different from Irish people...and all are individuals.
'Rotters'?? Are you English, by any chance?

depends wich part you are talking about,
In south london you might get shot
In birmingham, bradford, leeds youl get arrested for terrorism
In areas where there are no black, asian or any other ethnic group you will get beaten up by the BNP
In the playgraound, pubs and club youl get called rasist names
On the council estates you will get robbed
Apart from that there the kindest people on earth.
