You could get a hamster, but they aren't that social. If you get a baby guinea pig, and play with it a lot as it grows up, it is guaranteed to be a wonderful pet. They usually live about 3-4 years, they are very smart with a great personality(they also LOVE carrots). I was attached to my guinea pig, Oreo, and she died a week and a half ago:( (she was 6 though) They aren't that hard to take care of. Rabbits are also an easy pet to care for. If you get a baby rabbit, do not neglect it, or it will become angry and it will grunt at you. I know this, because some one gave me their rabbit that wasn't played with, and she still grunts at me when i try to pick her up, but after that, she is okay. But if you play with your rabbit from the time it is a baby, it will be such a loving pet. You can also let them roam around the house. Mine is also litter box trained. And i didn't even train her! You just buy a corner litter box for rodents at your local pet store and put it in the cage, and it just uses it. and, if you buy a hutch, it is so easy! just give the rabbit water once a day, unless it's winter, and you need to defrost it.(and food too) they actually don't eat a lot, and they smell MUCH better than a guinea pig. if you keep them in a hutch, they will get used to the weather,(in the hot summer though, you need to put a frozen water bottle in the cage to lay next to, to keep cool. in the winter, their fur becomes much thicker.) They are inexpensive to take care of, too. A 50 pound of rabbit food lasts me over 3 and a half months i'd say. another plus about keeping them in a hutch, you don't need to clean them out, and you don't have to buy bedding. It saves you a lot of money. It's cheaper to make a larger expense of building a hutch, because in the long run, you will have saved a lot of money. i hope this helps. and if you are bribing your parents, I definately know how you feel, especially about no dogs, and after our other animal are gone, my parents say we aren't getting any more. if i can think of any more small animals that are easy to take care of, i will edit my answer and add more. good luck.

You could get a rabbit, a hamster, a guinea pig, a parakeet, a lizard, a gecko, or a snake.
Rabbits can be taught tricks, and are really easy to take care of. They're many different kinds, and if you're allergic, you could always get a bald pet like some type of reptile.

Well, it mostly depends on your personality, patience level and responsibility, in my opinion though theese would be best:
Hamster/girble/guinea pig- They are nocturnal, so if you have school and other activities theese pets would be the best to care for. Some hamsters get up earlier in the day, around the evening when you should be getting home from school, they don't require much care other than daily food/water changing and cleaning their cages *at least* twice a week. You can play with them, and they will respond after they are tame and you should play with them daily.
Budgies/Cockatiels- Budgies and Cockatiels are NOT nocturnal, they are day birds and require 10-12 hours of sleep at night which is why you should cover them to give them privacy and enough darkness. They are pretty gentle birds, and after you tame them, or finger train them they will fly onto your shoulder and be more familiar with you. They arn't pets to "play" with. But yu can sit with them and stroke their belly, and they learn how to talk and are easiest to train.
/those are the pets I think would suite you best, but again, it all depends on you.

gerbils. gerbils are the best low maintenance pets to have. much better than hamsters, unless you want something that is curled up in the corner for the whole day. hamsters are nocturnal so they sleep all day, and play all night, however gerbils are dinural(on/off sleep/wake cycles), and loads of fun to play with!! they are more sociable, friendlier, don't fight with each other as much, and bond tightly. here are some great sites about them:

ferrets would be my second suggestion, but they don't fit your need of "easy to take care of", bcuz they are very high maintenance, high cost, and long commitment, but other wise great!!
good luck with your decision!!

No puppy is really ordinary to look after. all of them have particular desires - it may well be ecosystem, preparation, feeding or another situation. Do you fairly want a puppy once you're searching for one which you do not might want to interact with? taking on the existence of a residing creature is an outstanding responsibility. you would possibly want to component contained in the time you would possibly want to spend on/with the puppy, the quantity of care it desires, the fee of veterinary look after the puppy and the guidelines the position you stay (once you're searching at "unique" pets). if you're fairly set on having a puppy; refer to a community veterinarian and bypass over the above options with him. allow him help you discover the right puppy.

hamsters. you can't touch them for 24 hours thou. you also have to clean their cages every two days and refill water every day and make sure they have fresh food every day. and also make sure you get a cage and a exercise ball. make sure your little hamster(s) gets at least a half an hour maybe more. they only live 3-4 years if your are lucky 5. don't forget to get a handbook from Petsmart about hamsters. Good Luck!
