I don't know. Why do Republicans think name-calling and insults will boost their credibility?

Liberals can be "wimpy".
Liberals sit on the fence of political correctness, not wanting to offend anyone, allowing for everyone to be heard and ideas included...even if it is at the detriment of the masses and the majority.

i think they are wimpy because they never have enough time to enjoy the real world all they know how to do is liberal things.

They have been trained from a child that theory, any theory they choose to come up with is the same as reality, and so they are unprepared for the viccissitudes of life. They want to be powerful enough to be safe from what others have to face.
It's kind of like little kids who hide their head and if they can't see what they're hiding from it's not there.
