I don't have herpes, but a friend of mine got it while pregnant. She had to have a C-section, because the stress of labor would have caused an outbreak. Since she delivered by C-section, the baby didn't get it. Just take your medicine and make sure you tell your doctor when you get pregnant that you have herpes. And if you're having sex with more than one person, forget about getting pregnant for now and use a condom EVERY time.

Ignore the dummies below: You will get an outbreak right before delivery. Pregnancy causes stress on your body. Stress causes outbreaks. You will not find a doctor that will deliver your child naturally. I'd bet money on it.

No, No, No. You DO NOT have to have a c-section. Once you are pregnant, inform your care giver immediately. During the last 4 weeks of your pregnancy you will be put on an antiviral drug called aciclovir. This will help to stop you from getting an outbreak. When you get to the hospital make sure to tell them. If you are having signs of an outbreak you will have to have a c-section. If you are unsure they will check you. if you are not having any signs or symptoms you can have the baby vaginally. There is minimal chance of the baby contracting it if you do not have a current outbreak at the time of delivery.I do not have Herpes yet, however my husband does so I consulted with my doc in great length as well as researched it on my own, and this was the info I was given by 3 doctors if I was to contract it while pregnant. Here is an article by a doctor who weights the options. It used to be the case you would have an automatic c-section, but with the vast research that has been done in the past few years, the risk of a c-section is greater. The second is an article on herpes and the fetus. there is alot of info out there if you google it.
Hope this helps.

I got diagnosed with herpes virus (type 2) about five years ago, whilst I was still in college and had a stupid one-night stand. I understand a lot of young women say this, but I swear I had never done that sort of thing before. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly it seemed like I was going to have to live with the implications for the rest of my life. The hardest part was feeling I could never date men again. After all, who wants to go out with a girl that has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/Q6fzS everything improved.

Not only was I able to remove all traces of the herpes virus from my body in less than three weeks, but I was also able to begin dating again. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so lucky to write that just last week, in front of everyone in a busy restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!!! This method provided me the chance to be happy and experience real love again. Now I want to help others by sharing this story.

DON'T WORRY ANY MORE ABOUT HAVING A BABY WITH HERPES. YOU WILL NOT NEED A C-SECTION UNLESS YOUR HERPES BECOME ACTIVE BEFORE YOU DELIVER. YOU SHOULD KNOW THE ONLY TIME THEY COME OUT ON YOU ARE WHEN "YOU, YOU" ALLOWS YOURSELF TO BECOME STRESSED OR UPSET ABOUT SOMETHING YOU EITHER CAN'T OR CAN CONTROLL. EITHER WAY YOU CAN CONTROLL WHAT UPSET YOU. GET AWAY FROM THE PROBLEM OR FIX IT, IF YOU CAN'T LET IT GO AND YOU WILL DO JUST GREAT WHILE YOU ARE PREGNANT. GOOD LUCK.
