Yes. It was a vote against W not against the individuals that lost their seats. Oh, I'm a W backing Republican, FWIW.

Some may believe that or some may see it as a vote against the war or a vote to get hard lines out for better immigration reforms or a vote necessary to get Bush impeached -- add them all up and you get the Republicans out of the House and Senate.

But if anyone had listened to Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats running for election before the election they would of known......
1) There was no plan on Iraq just saying things would be different.
2)There would be NO Impeachment - Pelosi took that off the table 16 days before the November elections on National TV.
3)Most hard line Republican were replaced by moderate Democrats that promised not to be soft on immigration.
4)Some people just hate/hated Bush enough to vote for anyone other than a Republican.

His policies were not in line with the majority of the American people, most of whom do not vote. Given the fact that the Leader of the Republican party has a tin ear for all but the fraction of his base that fits into the category of Religious Right, its no wonder that this time Americans voted them out.

I think that some of his policy decisions can be partially to blame for Republicans losing the majority in the House. The Mark Foley page scandal and former Speaker Dennis Hastert not policing his own party probably had something to do with it as well.

It is the Republicans fault they lost the majority in the house. Inhuman greed and corporate lacky status can only be tolerated for so long, they cannot expect the American public to allow them to destroy the country completely.

If that is true than why do liberals want Bush out. It's the wimpy Republicans fault the where supposed to lower taxes ,cut government and revamp the social security system,if they had done that they would have kept their jobs and gained more sets.

It's the Republicans who did not stand for conservative values that lost the election. Also, if they did not turn their back on President Bush, Republican voters would have had more faith in them. Don't worry, the Democratic congress won't get anything done which will hurt them in 2008.

Take responsibility instead of finding fault. Blame game bores everyone but the journalists.
