Has any one heard of Ameriplan is this a good company to work with or is it a scam?

I personally think it is a scam.

A few years ago I was interested in a guy who sold Ameriplan policies on the side for extra money. Because I liked him, I bought one; it was insurance for my pets or something. It was a rip off because no one would honor the plan and there was a lot of restrictions. I basically flushed $15 a month down the toilet for a few months.
