Which new pokemon game, Pokemon Pearl or Diamond, are you getting and why?

Since I heard Pokemon Diamond and Pearl come out an April 22nd in the US, I was wondering which I should get and why.

It depends on your preference. Like do you have any favorite Pokemon that are likely available in only 1 of the games? I can tell you that I'm getting both Diamond and Pearl however since I'm big on collecting all of the Pokemon I'm capable of getting in the games.

These Pokemon are the only ones available in Diamond without the usage of trades or transfers.

Seel, Scyther, Murkrow, Larvitar, Poochyena, Aron, Kecleon, Zugaidosu, Sukapuu and Dialga.

For Pearl - these Pokemon are exclusive to the trade without trades or transfers.

Slowpoke, Pinsir, Misdreavus, Houndour, Stantler, Spheal, Bagon, Tatetopusu, Glameow and Palkia.

NOTE: Names such as Zugaidosu, Sukapuu and Tatetopusu are the Japanese names for these Pokemon.

both because of the main legendary pokemon are kool pearl's legend is dragon and water type but it look scary and diamond's is steel and dragon ( 2 great types) and it looks kool
but i was always a water pokemon fan so i'm getting both i say do your research on it (i to it on spare time) and my starter would be the penguin thing (its last evolve form is ice(of water) and steel so like i said do research and tell me about it if you find out more (there are alot of new evolve and unevolvr forms of old pkemon) good luck

i'm getting Diamond. i'm not too sure why, but it was the one i wanted when i heard about the games, and seeing the pokemon that are only on Diamond, it looks like the cooler version to me. here's a list of the pokemon specified to one version http://www.serebii.net/diamondpearl/exclusives.shtml
