I was pregnant with my son couple years ago but I didn't have morning sickness like this so does it mean I could be having a girl this time?

Each pregnancy is different. My first was a girl and it was an easy pregnancy. My second is a boy and this pregnancy has been horrible! It is my experience that each pregnancy is different and while you could take my example and say yes- beacuse it's a different pregnancy, the sex will be different too- there is really no way to tell without an ultrasound.

Having morning sickness throughout the day is common though. I sure as heck had it all day long. I attached a link to give you more info on morning sickness and things to help you through it! Good luck!

This is totally normal....unfortunately. I was sick with my son until 12 weeks pregnant but with my daughter I was sick for a whole 5 months. There is an old wives tale that a girl gives you bad morning sickness....well I had it with both, but having said that it was worse with my daughter. If you ask friends and family you will probably find that many women who were expecting boys had just as bad sickness so I dont think its a definitive thing one way or the other. You could (for fun) try and use a chinese gender prediction chart, they said im having a girl (its my third pregnancy) but if thats true then the morning sickness thing isnt true for me as I havent had any at all. Congrats on the pregnancy x x

No, morning sickness has nothing to do with the sex of child you are having. Every pregnancy is different, even for the same woman, so there is no way to know. And yeah, all day sickness would be a better name for it than morning sickness. Whoever named it that was an idiot, lol. Try taking Lethicin. You can get it at a natural foods store. Its in a liquid caplet form, and totally safe and natural. Poke a hole in the caplet and squirt the juice in your mouth. You can do it as often as every 30 minutes, and it will totally stop ALL nausea and vomitting. It even works for stomach flu, food poisoning, etc. Also, you can buy ginger in caplet form, and that will also knock out your nausea. Try eating several small meals a day.

yup! I had sickness for a couple of weeks throughout the day. It seemed to be a indicator that I needed something to eat.
I'm at 11 weeks now and I've moved on to excessive tiredness (although I don;t sleep well at night) and backache.
How I have backache when the baby is the size of a thumb I don't know. God help be when it's the size of a melon!

I dont think wether you are sick or not can determine the sex of your baby as I was sick virtually all day for up to 12 weeks with each of my 3 children (two boys and a girl). It is horrible and takes the enjoyment out of the pregnancy a bit but it wont last for long and keep thinking it is a small price to pay for the end product! Keeping eating rich tea biscuits and keep your hydration up (not literally of course - tee hee) by taking sips of water or whatever else you can keep down. Good luck

yes it is normal to have it on and off.I'm 20 wks pregnant and my sickness has just settle down.I also didn't have it with my son and they do say girls do cause more morning sickness in pregnancy. I hope there rite as i would love to have a girl this time.My advice is to eat small meal regularly as this helps ease the symptoms

good luck and enjoy your pregnancy

All pregnancies are different, try not to compare this pregnancy with your previous pregnancy or the pregnancy of your friends. I know when we are pregnant and have kids we tend to compare our everything with our friends. No 2 pregnancies are the same as no 2 kids are the same. Certainly if you are the least bit concerned, consult with your OBYGYN. When talking about morning sickness, I think there are alot of old wivestales out there about the sex of the babies. Although, I had heartburn throughout my pregnancy and everyone said it was because my baby had alot of hair and that turned out to be true, so I guess ya never know.....good luck and congratulations!

Morning sickness varies w/each pregnancy. It is not an indication of the sex. It usually lasts until 12-13wks. The key is to nibble all day, when your tummy is empty is when you'll have nausea. Prego pops, nilla wafers, ginger snaps, saltines, ginger ale, flat coke, 7-up.
